make sure you have not got a image tag that starts like:

file///c:/etc etc

How should it look?

images/badge2.jpg

It looks like this img src="/filename/image1.jpg".......>

The images are in the same folder as other files.

"/filename/image1.jpg

please confirm that filename is directory name

also you have a / before filename.. delete it

I think it is directory name - it is a folder on my computer and also on the server. I will delete the / and let you know.
thanks

I just read a technote that said " File and folder names should be one-word, lower-case, alphanumeric characters and should begin with a letter. The only special character that is permitted is the underscore (_)."

I thinks I have my files names for my images in Upper Case. I will change it to see if it solves the proble.

Anybody have this problem before?

never with upercase. It shouldnt make a difference as long as you reference them in uppercase

The only special character that is permitted is the underscore (_)

thats right. although i think windows barks at you if you try any special chars in your file naming conventions

They are referenced in upper case for sure because I don't type them in the code directly to make a mistake.
will check though

Problem solved. Apparently the img tag was referencing a path when it didn't really need a path because all files are in the same folder so it should have been <img src "filename" .......>
thanks to all you who contributed.
