i normally respond to posts after ai receive an email from the forum. The settings on this one default to email off

i would say most users wait for that email reminder. This would be a great time to send out a news letter

also lost my mod powers?

please note that this is not a accusation, annoyance, beef, bitch, cavil, CC, charge, clamor, criticism, disagreement, dissatisfaction, expostulation, fault-finding, grievance, gripe, grouse, grumble, guff, jeremiad, kick, lament, moan, objection, plaint, protest, protestation, rap, remonstrance, remonstration, reproach, rumble, squawk, stink, trouble, wail or a whine!

It's imperative that we don't change email settings too much. If we lost the email settings in the transition, no biggie, but we have to set them alll to OFF like now. I'm not gonna let the forum send out email to people that have requested not to get email... We have to be really careful about being reported/blacklisted for spamming, it would kill the future newsletter (plus email notifications to people that want it) in a heartbeat.
