View Full Version : Layers that move when browser is resized? How?

12-31-2005, 02:14 PM
I want to use layers to position things on my page but notice that when the browser is resized, the layers stay glued to the spot. I want the layers to move relative to everything else, can this be done? I read somewhere about static positioning of layers but cant figure out how to do this.

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks for replying so quick (and Happy New Year to you).

Sadly, that link you gave me does not provide me with any answers on how I can get my layers moving with everything else when I resize the browser.

Can anyone else help me?

You need to use a liquid layout, not using absolute positioning.

My template ('http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=249')

Take a look at the template I made for our 1st anniversary.
It shows how to position layers so they stay in the same place but contract/expand as the page is resized.
