I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting a web link. I'm not self-advertising or anything like that. I stumbled upon this website and WOW! What a piece of work. I am currently building websites in my spare time (built about 5 now). I have recently started dabbling with flash. The site below is what I hope to be able to achieve one day.

How difficult is it to create an animation as seen in this site? When viewed, it appears as though the architecture is being drawn before you. Would this be done with mask layers? I'm clear on the very basics of Flash -- the frames, the layers, the mask layers, tweening, alpha. I imagine one would need to learn a great deal of actionscript to create such a site?

I'd like your opinions and thoughts. Like I said, I'd like to learn how to do this with ideas of my own.

Yes I would say they are action scripts seeing that it is so fast. scripts in flash are way cool.
Umm however you can cheat at that sort of effect with graphics.

If it is flash you want to learn then you cannot go past http://www.flashkit.com ('http://www.flashkit.com')
The site looks very over whelming at first but stick around and exploy the place. It has a wealth of knowledge there.
