Site: www.secretgem527.com/myheartdances/complete/home.htm ('http://www.secretgem527.com/myheartdances/complete/home.htm')

I am in the process of a redesign, and I've added some flash.

The problem is that the drop down menus that are above the flash and flash text, seem to drop down behind the flash elements. How in the world, do I stop that from happening?!?!

I have tried putting my flash elements in layers and then from the top menu, Modify/Arrange/Back. Unfortunately that option does not appear for me as being an active function. I'm tired of hitting my head on the wall. ;)

I am using Dreamweaver MX2004. Please ... there must be a solution!!!

Advice?

:huh:

Not a cure, but could be an option to include the menus in your flash movie.
It the site you linked is the problem.. they seem to work fine for me.

okay how many times do i have to teach you guys this stuff. so here we go again.

you have to make the flash transparent and the the flash will drop down in front of the flash.
<td width="89%"><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="468" height="60">
<param name="movie" value="flash/banner.swf">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="wmode" value="transparent"> <---- add this line to your dreamweaver code and you will see the menus over the flash.

hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try it and let you know what happens. One more question though ... where in the code does <param name="wmode" value="transparent"> go on pages inside the site (not splash page), such as on http://www.secretgem527.com/myheartdances/complete/home.htm ('http://http://www.secretgem527.com/myheartdances/complete/home.htm')? :huh:

I'll poke around until I hear back.

Again, thanks so much for replying ... I knew there was NO WAY I was the only one out there that ever had this problem.

:wacko:
