More and more Help authors are using HTML (and XML) editors to author help files. Does any body here do this?

Are you satidified with that process? Have you ever considered looking for a tool that does more?

I am trying to get a feel for how FrontPage and Dreamweaver users are authoring Help files. I am the Product Manager for Doc-To-Help, which is a Help authoring tool that transforms HTML (or Word) content into Help files. Don't worry, I am not trying to use this forum to sell the product -- just doing some research.

I use various tools for creating help files.

For files that are going to be updated often I use HTML and publish as HTML
For files that are rarely changed I use searchable PDF files.
For files that only change when a new version is created I use Word and convert to chm

Also it all depends on where the help files reside : local, network, or Internet access
