Hallo,

Sander

Sorry for the english people:

I've made a index file which is used for viewing if people are present or not.
So there must be a file which is behind the index file wich writes, the data away. This data is all saved local. So if people make changes, the file must give an sign to the data file which writes it again to the index file. So if i open the index file make some changes, close the file, and then reopen it, then it must be the same when i closed it (or other people do have to had make changes),

And something else, the file must refresh every 30 seconds is there a script for?

Thx in forward,

Sander

There must be a data file written away.
I've put the file as an attachement. So mabye can you see what i mean. This file is used on an local server. And is used by 20 people. Mabye can you now see what i mean, when you read the attachment.

THx in forward

1st colum is the name of the employee
2nd colum is, if the person is present
3th colum is, if the person isn't present
4th colum is the reason why the person isn't present
5th colum is the time the person expects to be back

all is written in HTML

People do have to see who's present and who's not.
Ok understand?

Next step.
If Andrea makes a change Marlies does have to see this change
Understand?

When i open the index file i must see the last changes
ok?

So there must be a file who stores this data.
ok?

And everybody does have to open the last up to date file
ok?

So everybody can see who's present and who's not
ok?

Tell me exactly what you don't understand.

Error530, language barriers can be a problem (I'm norwegian)

Maybe you can ask some other Dreamweaver users you know come over to this thread to help you out/rephrase the english? :)

What I am meaning here is that you gave a static page (html) and you are trying to change things live? I for one do not know how to change the content of a static page without downloading it.. making the changes locally and then uploading it.

But if you used a dynamic page, then yes that is possible and easy.

If you are using dreamweaver you will need to setup the server side section and select php/mysql. You will also need a testing server either local or a hoster that has php and mysql options.
