hey everyone, i'm making some banners for a site i'm building and i keep getting low quality images when i export it from flash as an animated gif.

here's what i do:

1. using photoshop i make the banner and any other clips i want in the banner as jpegs.

2. i import them into flash and then use the timeline to make them run through the clips.

3. i then export the movie as an animated gif and it comes out real grainy....

this also happens on buddy icons that i make...any suggestions?

sorry if this isn't really about dw.

GIF format only allows 256 colours. Make sure your original images are reduced to 256 colours.
Also I would export as swf instead of animated gif, your file size will probably be smaller.

Create a script in flash to goto URL.

create a button symbol in flash and drop your banner into the button symbol canvas (make sure you can see the banner in all four states up over down and hit

drag each button (containing your banners) onto your time line on the main stage

click each button and press F9 to bring up your actions panel

in the actions panel type the following

on (release){

you will need to do this on all your banners
