Hi again guys.

Okay my problem this time(!):

The background on one of my pages doesn't show. at all. I've tried a few things, but such a simple thing doesn't seem to have a simple solution. to me anyay!

http://www.bootcutters.pwp.blueyonder.co.u...arcs%20page. htm ('http://www.bootcutters.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/team%20les%20arcs%20page.htm')

The page is basically the same as the rest of the site, but with a different background image(the jpeg is definately in my host's remote folder btw). I can't understand why i can't see it...

thanks in anticipation.

Your website is trying to find an image on my hardrive, it would be better if you told it to look for the image on the server instead ;)

Replace this code:body {
background-image: url(file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Andrew/My%20Documents/team%20les%20arcs%20backdrop%20exp.jpg);
body {
background-image: url(http://www.bootcutters.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/team%20les%20arcs%20backdrop%20exp.jpg);

thanks for replying so promptly!

I'll give that a shot when i get home from work.

It was the first page i designed when starting out.

Thank you.

As you can see you are getting the location of the file from your system.

How many of us when starting out have been caught by that one! ;)

Common problem - and a very satisfying one to solve when you notice it!

I have frequently done the same thing with CSS before - the HTML page has been looking on my hard-drive for the style-sheet as oppose to the server...!
