Firefox has superior CSS support compared to IE.

The code you posted is not CSS and Firefox does not support it.
Your code is something Microsoft invented and not part of the web standards.

If you want to add it and comform best as possible to standards, you could add a conditional comment for IE only and add it to a seperate stylesheet:<!--[if IE]>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="ie-only.css" type="text/css">
<![endif]-->
