View Full Version : Dreamweaver and MySQL

I am trying to create a connection in Dreamweaver to a MySQL database. Every time I try to make the connection, I get an error message that says:
"An unidentified error has occurred."

Any ideas on what the problem is? Thanks in advance for the help.

Some specifics would be nice.
Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5? or other?
Which Dreamweaver version do you use? Is it updated?

For general help on this subject look at Macromedias help page:

MySQL version 4.1 (run locally on my machine)
Dreamweaver MX version 6.0 (tried to download the updater, but it wouldn't work)

Let me know if there is any other information you need.

You should update first according to the page I linked to above.
Also read that page, it deals specifically with the error you got.
The help I would be able to give you would be from that page anyways :) (I've never encountered this problem before)

I've tried to update from that page, but it won't work. I can download the updater, but when i try to run it, i get the error:
"This folder does not contain Dreamwer MX"

I'll try some of the other troubleshooting tips listed.

I have had this before. I found that it was _mmServerScripts missing from live machine (testing machine)

if you look in your local dir you should see a _mmServerScripts in the root

copy this _mmServerScripts to your live dir
