Hi Everybody i am new to this arena and dreamweaverMX 2004 aswell.i have tried to start making a website in dreamweaver many times but end up making it completely in Flash.I have been listening and reading of dreamweaver as one of the best tools in web arena.
As now i have firmly thought this time i will not quit. SO I KINDLY REQUEST EVERYBODY AND ALL THE EXPERTS TO LISTEN TO MY QUESTIONS AND HELP ME IN LEARNING!

First of all i am trying to put text in tables but when i view the table in explores it becomes bigger than used.
Mean to say in single table single line of text
it comes double linned size in explores.why so?

REQUEST TO PLS HELP ME!

do you mean it wraps?

does the text drop onto a new line?

if yes then you could ad a nowrap atribute to the <td> text </td>

<td nowrap> text </td>

place your cursor into the page where you want the flash to appear

then go to go to menu... Insert > Media > Flash

then browse for your swf files

yes the .swf comes like that but how to put a link on it.there is no option to hyperlink in properties of .swf

one strange thing is that
if we insert flash button you can hyperlink it .but if you look in the code there is no attribute in the <object>tag to hyper link

pls just try this
1)insert-flash button-you can link it
2)insert-flash-you cannot link it

but when you see the code of both they are exactly same!

If you want a swf to link to anything, you need to do this in your flash editor, not in DW. DW just puts the flash object on the page. You can't add/edit the link within the swf in Dreamweaver.
