View Full Version : Help!! trying to creat scrollable text in a table?

Ive been trying for days now. I dont expect someone to like COMPLETLY walk me through step by step to create this but im trying to make some scroll text up and down within a box. and i have NO IDEA WHERE I CAN FIND THIS ANSWER. if someone can point me to a tutorial or help me out, i will greatly appreciate it. I think I know what you are trying to do, at the bottom left of the page where all the properties appear, if you have it set up this way, you should have a box with Scroll, visable, hidden etc, set to scroll and save and put.
I might be right not sure.

Thanks, ive actually tried that but its not what im looking for, What im trying to do is make a box of text inside a table. but the table keeps expanding to fit the text, so i dont know why that happens.. But thanks for your help.

A box of text ??

do you mean a layer based (DHTML) text box

or a text area field

basiclly an area where ill have a paragraph or so and people can scroll up or down and view what they want. does tha make sense

IFRAMES could be what your looking for.

create 2 pages page1.htm page2.htmin page 1 add this

<iframe src ="page2.htm" width="200" height="200"></iframe>

do this first then we will talk about navigation

iframes should only be used if you're linking to another html file, not simply to create a scrollbar.
