I'm setting up a website in Dreamweaver MX using a Mac on OSX 10.3 using mainly one template and all the pages are designed using layers.

What I'm wanting to achieve ultimately is to build an information driven site that has areas which can only be accessed if you become a subscriber. The idea is if you are not a subscriber and you click on a particular "Members Only" area then you will be taken to a "JOIN TODAY" page where you can fill in a form, decide upon your user name and password and pay the required subscription amount.

As someone who has no experience in this field of programming can anyone point me in the right direction on how to set this up. In addition can anyone suggest a third party who can fullfill payment for the subscription fee.

Thanx in advance.

Rich

you will need a scripting language to develop this as you will need a database backend to administer your members

asp
php (recomended)
jsp
coldfusion
.net

whatever floats ya boat
