I need a web page that will display 500 images, small size(thumbnail), layout does not matter. It needs to be VERY simple. I can't figure out a way to do that easily. I have all the pics ready and organized, I just need to know how to create that in Dreamweaver in the most time efficient manner. ANY SUGGESTIONS WELCOMED. Thanks I'm new to the forums, it looks very helpful.

Use the 'create photo album' wizard. I think it's in the Commands menu. I suggest trying it with four or five images before doing it with 500!

The moment your photo album exceeds 15 images, its time for you to look at server side solutions in comparision to static solutions pointed out by jim and kate.

Jims Solution
If you decide to add 501st image, you would have to remake the whole album all over again or find the first last and index files to hand modify the album. Its too time consuming to manage

Kates Solution
If you add an image you will have to ftp the thumbnail, and image and then edit your xml file. If there is a certain method to sort the files then editing the xml will be a REAL pain.

Go dynamic. USE ASP/PHP/COLDFUSION. There are several free options to choose from.

ranjan hi,

It seems to be from my experience since opening mine, and sufing here that a lot of posters are quite new to Dreamweaver. most will not know programing languages. neither do I...hahaha

I'm looking at this when I mention non programers:

It needs to be VERY simple

Is what you mention hard to do...?

Thanks.
