View Full Version : Graphic position not same in IE and Mozilla

I'm a Dreamweaver newbie and I've got a web page I've designed using one of the standard "frames" templates. In the "header" frame I've got a page just with a colored background and a .jpg file which for some reason doesn't appear positioned in the same place depending on if it is viewed in IE or Mozilla/Firefox. I've the margin set for 0pix,0pix and it appears correctly positioned in IE but in Mozilla it is about .25" farther down and to the right. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried putting it in a table and doing the same but it doesn't change the positioning, thanks for any help you can give me!

Hi Madmax,

This is the problem with using frames and why most of us on here would advise against using them. There are better ways of positioning things on your page - such as Cascading Style Sheets and, to a point, tables.

Different web browsers interpret frames in different ways. Your content and layout can get all messed up.

If you're just starting then I suggest a basis CSS tutorial?
