Hi there,

I'm trying to create a very simple website, but I'm having trouble with the tables. I've got the table cells where I need them to be (according to the layout I've created in photoshop), but when I type information into the cells, it expands the cells to be larger. First, I made a table using the table icon and manipulated it to fit the layout-- when that didn't work i used the "draw layout table" tool to see if it would make a difference but it did not. I've tried the "no wrap" feature. I've tried putting tables within tables. I've also tried making a template and creating editable regions only in the cells that I want to change the text, but it STILL changes the cell width and height. Is there a way to "lock" the cells so that I can add information without my entire table changing proportion?

I'm very frustrated at this point and any advice is welcome!

thanks much,

have you changed from % to pixel values?

Tables automatically resize to fit the information in them, you can't stop it.

Use CSS instead of tables (using absolute positioning)

See Kridan Security ('http://www.kridan.com') for an example of what I mean.
If I would have used tables, nothing would line up properly.
