Hello.
I have a .fla file into which i have placed named anchors to facilitate back/forward button usability.
all works fine if i preview the document using F12 within Flash. It appears in the browser as planned and all is dandy. BUT
when i transfer everything over to DW, and then preview the same file, the back / forward buttons dont work !
why not ? is this a DW or a Flash thing or neither ? very confused....

Have you posted .fla file or .swf files? you must post .swf file in dreamweaver.

Hya,
Some video's in quicktime (you must have qt) from Macromedia which will help you intergrate your Flash to Dreamweaver.

Thanks for the reply.
The article is 3 years old so is it still relevant ? i tried exporting my Flash document in Flash 6 but to no avail.
Im going to try it in Flash 5 now snad see what happens.
still searching for the answer....im a bit surprised that i havent read much about this problem for other people, am i doing something really stupid ???
Hya,
Try if you hav'nt already. open DW go to red 'F' for Flash, this should open your 'defined site' folder choose your file. I can't take you further than that as I have only a swi not a swf.
You may have already tried this if so ignore.

Thanks again Kate
Yah i tried that, i tried this, i tried that over there too...im starting to run out of options.
ofcourse, assuming i could get my .swf file through DW to function as it does through Flash, it still wouldnt completely solve the back button issue, as i wouldnt really have Back button function, just the ability to take the user to the last named anchor.
i know this isnt the place, but any good tutorials out there for Flash that explain how to code so as to enable complete Back/Forward browser button usability ?
thanks for your time
