I'am getting different colours for my links in f/fox and IE .All colours are web safe and set in the page properties.

My Webpage ('http://www.lanzarotevillage.info/best4fish/index.htm')

Any help guys.

So you are?! Wierd. I use FF and IE also - and in FF they are purple, but in IE they are yellow.

Never seen this before.

This is a common mistake.
Link pseudo code must be in the correct order: a:link {color: #FFFF00;}
a:visited {color: #FFFF00;}
a:hover {color: #00FFFF;}
a:active {color: #00FFFF;}

link, visited, hover, active.. might as well learn this by heart sooner than later. Ranjan has mentioned to remember LoVe HAte if you have a problem with the technical terms.

Also make sure you're code is valid. In your pasted example, there's a bracket too many.

Nice website, I've got plenty of great memories from Lanzarote in the 70'ies :)
