Hi, I'm using dreamweaver mx 2004. After installing dreamweaver it want's to connect to www.macromedia.com. I don't want any automate connections to any sites (microsoft, ...) and so I blocked it with the firewall, but: Is there a simple way to stop this feature (registry or options or ...)? Thanks in advance, greetings, Chris/Austria.

no

dreamweaver does that to check if your copy is leagal and also to pull data for the start page.

I've installed a 30-day-trial-version (enclosed to a book about dreamweaver mx 2004). What's the sense to check either this version is legal or not? But: Thank you for the information. I'll try the software and either I'll buy it (but the price is not really cheap) or not. Bye, Chris.

ok, i'd understand. If there's no way to stop the auto-connect to their site, this topic could be closed. Thanks.
