View Full Version : Border round Table

I have created the below site for my friends band. I have a couple of questions

1) I have added a border to the centered table via CSS, but as you can see it expands to the full width of the browser. Please can you advise how to fix it so that it does not expand.

http://www.martinkyle.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/index1.htm ('http://www.martinkyle.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/index1.htm')

2) I would like to put a black border round the band members on the right. Please can you advise how to do this to as they are contained in layout cell

Thanks, Martin

1. You need to create a "wrapper" div for your content.

background-color: white;
text-align: center;

text-align: left;
min-width: 768px;
border: 1px black;

In your HTML take the border out of your BODY tag.
Then just before your <table> tag put in <DIV id="wrapper">
Then just after your </table> ending tag close the div </DIV>

2. Create a style for the <td> tags for your band members with the border you want
This will have to be a "class" attribute as you can't use "id" more than once on a page.
Such as:

.band {
border: 1px black

Then apply it to the TD tags as needed
