Hey guys,

My first post here, this forum looks like a good up and coming community.

The guy who works with me has been putting together virtual tours using iPix which I believe requires Javascript to run. I then found a virtual tour on this web page http://www.miragefloors.com/ProfilShowRoom...om_explore.html ('http://www.miragefloors.com/ProfilShowRoom/59/en/MIRAGE_RedOak_DiningRoom_explore.html')

This tour looks clear and the smoothness of movement is superb. I noticed that it uses Quicktime instead of iPix. Do you think that it also uses any other software to create this? If not, how do you create a virtual tour of this standard simply using Quicktime?

Thank you.

Ian

I do virtual tours in flash so not much help here. The quality of the virtual tours in your link are pretty darn good. You can read more about Quicktime and virtual tours here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tools_tips/qtvr.html ('http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tools_tips/qtvr.html')

Thanks for the quick response domedia. Yeah, they do look really good don't they. We looked at doing the virtual tours in Flash but I could only figure out how to make the navigation rotate left and right whereas iPix allows you to scroll up and down too which I thought was great. As always, I've gone and found something that looks just that bit better and have been obsessing about it ever since. I really should get out more... haha...

Thanks.

hehe I know what you mean ;)

Since you have the budget, I would just look for a quicktime developer in your area, and ask for sample and pricing. No commitment and you've made sure you're still outsourcing and saving time.
