Hi,

Having a bit of trouble with getting my download links to work on the web site.

This is a screenshot of the downloads.php page in Dreamweaver.

As you can see, I am trying to get the word 'Here' to be the download to a document on my computer.

At the moment, when I click 'Here' it just says the page cannot be found (by Tripod.com - thats what i'm using to manage and upload the files)

I dont really know whats wrong with it at the moment. Maybe the coding will help you guys.

Help is very much appreciated!

Your image path is pointing to folders that does not exist on your server.
Change the path to ../CompanyMeeting21.doc and my guess is that you should be o.k. :)

I tryed what you said, but it still doesn't work :(, I click on the link 'Here' and it comes up with the 'Tripod page not found' :(.

Can you provide a url instead?
It's pretty obvious what is wrong, the path to your document is wrong, or the document is not on your server.

Does Tripod allow php in the first place?
It didn't used to, so unless they have changed their rules php won't work..

the url is www.edskii.tripod.com/neonremix/

yes, tripod does allow .php's, all the other pages work fine.

Tripod said that that page or file didn't exist.
But the fact remains that only 2 things can go wrong in linking.
-Either you're linking to the wrong place
or-
-Your'e linking to the right place, but your file is not uploaded to the correct place.
It sounds pretty simple, but if you're not familiar with directories and files hierachy I can understand your confusion.
