View Full Version : Those darn scrollbars.....need some help

Hey gang,

I know this has come up here a lot, but I really need some help for making a deadline. I'm trying to incorporate three seperate vertical scrollbars like the page right here ('http://screenwriting.ugo.com/reviews.php').

I have limited knowledge of using CSS and Dreamweaver. Is there any way someone could help me bridge the gap with either code or point me in the right direction. Been trying to make this work for two days now and I'm starting to go gray.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The separate scrollable areas on that site were done by using Iframes.
You can see a reference on Iframes at http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/html40/special/iframe.html ('http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/html40/special/iframe.html')

What version of Dreamweaver do you have? The latest version (Dreamweaver MX 2004) has much improved CSS handling over the previous versions. However, no matter which version you use, it will take quite a bit of study and experience to get the hang of it, and learning both Dreamweaver and CSS at the same time will be a challenge.

Most people recommend Eric Meyer's books for CSS. Just go to Amazon.com and do a search on his name to see what's available.

There's several posts about scrolling areas on this forum already, you can read some of those as well. Plus the new article about CSS Scrollers ('http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/css-scroller.php') ;)

I second Tom's recommendation about the books of Eric Meyer.

Good Luck!
