View Full Version : Error: 'IE5' is undefined

I recently learned who to use templates for my sites. Got a site up and running (www.talkgenealogy.com) and it seems to be working. So took that sites files and copied to new folder, set up DW difined site parameters and begin editing for new site. I upload the pages to my hosting outfit and go out to a new browser window (not using DW - F12 key) and key in my domain (www.globalptcruisers.org). That page comes up just fine (not based on a template). When I go beyond the index.html page I get a pop up that says the following:

Line: 7
Char: 53
Error: 'IE5' is undefined
Code: 0
URL: http://globalptcuisers.org/GPTCHome.html ('http://globalptcuisers.org/GPTCHome.html')

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

All of your image & js files point to your webroot (../images etc.)
Try changing your links to absolute, not relative. The directory/sub-directory format on your host will be different than on your computer causing errors such as you see now.

Your link in your post is not right, I looked at the url and found this page:http://globalptcruisers.org/GPTCHome.html ('http://globalptcruisers.org/GPTCHome.html') is the right url (you forgot an 'r' in there). The only thing I can tell you right off hand is that this is an error related to your javascript.

Your calling a javascript images/xaramenu.js which is not in the /images/ directory. It should be changed to src="xaramenu.js" or call it absolute like gmcrone suggested.
